Canvas LMS Course

I created a Canvas course as part of a personal project that integrates technology and mathematics education.

Project Overview

The Project: I designed a complete canvas course, syllabus, and presentation on course execution and content. This project was designed alongside two other graduate students. The course contained 14 Modules, each covering a different mathematics concept.

My Role: I created graphics, designed lesson plans, found supporting documentations, and instructed how to teach the course and changes that could be made.

My Focus: Mathematics Education, Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Graphic Design, Online Learning, Course Development

The Challenge

Math is a subject that students struggle to understand, due to ineffective or non-applicable ways of teaching.

My Approach

I utilized a hybrid approach to provide accessible instruction to all types of learners. Using visuals, interactive assignments, and open discussions in groups, the course was engaging and encouraged participation. I also provided practical and real-world math scenarios.

The Outcome

The course was successful and was proposed for further development, including a professional training for university faculty on my methodologies.
